Choosing a bath size depends on your bathroom footprint and your height.

Standard Sizes: Most NZ homes accommodate a 1300mm to 1800mm length. A 1300mm bath is great for space-saving, while 1800mm+ is ideal for a full-body soak.
Width & Depth: Aim for 750mm–800mm width for comfort. If you are over 6ft, look for a “soaking depth” (bottom to overflow) of at least 380mm.
The Clearance Rule: Always allow at least 100mm–150mm of space around the ends of a freestanding bath to allow for easy cleaning and to avoid a “cramped” look.

Acrylic: Lightweight and budget-friendly, but prone to flexing and faster heat loss.
Silica-Free: All our stone baths are 100% silica-free, making them safe for installers and environmentally responsible for NZ homes.

Installing a freestanding bath must comply with NZBC Clause E3 (Internal Moisture).

Impervious Surfaces: Under Amendment 7, flooring must be impervious and easily cleaned. We recommend high-quality tiles or sealed surfaces extending at least 1.5m from the bath.
Weight Requirements: Solid stone baths weigh from 120 to 210 kg . Ensure your floor joists are checked by a builder, especially for upper-level installations.
Plumbing: Most NZ installations require a 40mm or 50mm waste. We recommend a floor-mounted filler (tap) for a clean, architectural finish.
